Regional Director of Sales & Marketing

Steve joined McKibbon in 2017 as Director of Sales for the McKibbon-managed Residence Inn Charlotte South Park. He was promptly awarded the 2018 McKibbon Regional Sales Leader of the Year Award for his ability to cultivate meaningful results and relationships with owners, asset managers, colleagues, clients and guests. In 2019, he was promoted to Market Director of Sales for the dual-branded AC Hotel and Residence Inn Charlotte City Center, where he developed and mentored an impressive on-property sales team, reached property revenue goals, and helped creatively market, and thereby enhance performance and reputation, of the hotels’ rooftop lounge and penthouse suite. In 2022, Steve was promoted to McKibbon’s corporate team and his current role as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, overseeing a portfolio of hotels, developing and executing effective sales & marketing strategies, and providing support and guidance to the sales leaders in his region. Across his impressive 30-plus year career, Steve has held a variety of sales leadership roles at a host of Charlotte-based Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott and IHG properties, driving revenue and achieving performance objectives. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and management from the University of Akron.
