Scott is fortunate to live and work in his favorite city in the world: Knoxville, Tennessee. Maybe it’s college town pride or maybe it’s the unique downtown area and vibrant culture. Either way, Scott is proud to call it home, and he lives for making it a place others love to come visit. As Regional Vice President of Operations, Scott oversees the operations of 15 multi-brand hotels in the Southeast. His goal every day: make every hospitality experience memorable. Scott began his career in 1998 as a General Manager at La Quinta. He joined McKibbon in 2000, and hasn’t looked back since. Earning his role as Regional Vice President has been his greatest business accomplishment thus far — that and getting to collaborate with an outstanding team of general managers and the McKibbon corporate team. When he’s not working or following UT sports, Scott loves to play golf, travel, and he’s passionate about helping find a cure for cancer. Over the course of his career, Scott has been recognized with the 2005 General Manager of the Year, the 2005 Homewood Suites Award of Merit and the 2003 Marriott Manager of the Year for Tennessee Hotel and Lodging. He proudly serves as a board member of the Tennessee Hotel and Lodging Association and the University of Tennessee Hospitality School Advisory board.
