Robert Newton serves as Regional Vice President of Operations for McKibbon Hospitality, leveraging more than 20 years of on-property experience to support a portfolio of hotels with operational strategy, budget planning, sales initiatives, and guest satisfaction. Throughout his tenure with McKibbon, Robert has successfully led teams across a variety of brands, markets and property types, consistently creating opportunities for associates to learn and grow in their careers. He most recently served as Dual General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Home2 Tampa Downtown Channel District and has steered operations at McKibbon properties across the Tampa Bay area, including Residence Inn Tampa Sabal Park, Residence Inn Tampa Westshore, and Hyatt House Tampa Westshore. A champion of continuous learning, Robert earned his Executive MBA from the University of South Florida in 2023, graduating with Honors. He has been recognized with a 2025 McKibbon Circle of Excellence Award as well as inclusion in Hotel Management Magazine’s 2024 GMs to Watch List.
