Michael Hickerson serves as Regional Vice President of Operations, supporting a portfolio of properties and general managers. He joined the company in 2001 as the General Manager for the SpringHill Suites Sarasota Airport. He accepted the challenge of opening McKibbon’s Courtyard Little Rock Downtown as General Manager, receiving Marriott's Opening General Manager of the Year Award and quickly establishing himself as a determined leader. Michael helped open several downtown Little Rock hotels in the years to follow and later became the Dual General Manager of the Courtyard and Residence Inn, which received Marriott's Opening Hotel of the Year Award. He successfully opened the AC Hotel Asheville Downtown in 2017, receiving McKibbon's top award, General Manager of the Year, for his efforts and dedication in 2018 at the McKibbon One Leadership Conference. Most recently, Michael served as Vice President of Operations for Yedla Hotel Management, responsible for the overall performance of 21 hotels.
