Jim believes that the beauty of traveling lies in getting out of your comfort zone and being open to experiencing the world from a new perspective. It’s a philosophy that extends to his personal life and his career. When Jim was presented with the opportunity to shift gears from a 15-year legal career with Stewart, Melvin & Frost, LLP to an exciting new career path with McKibbon, he was on board immediately. The challenge of applying his skillset to the business world has been one of the biggest thrills of his career thus far. Jim lends legal support to all aspects of McKibbon Hospitality. He’s involved in everything from new hotel development and human resource issues to non-profit and charitable giving. He was named 2014 Georgia Trend Super Lawyer, 2012 Gainesville/Hall County Young Man of the Year and he’s also a 2003 Leadership Hall County Graduate. Jim is a member of the Lakeview Academy Board of trustees, vice-chairman of the Lanier Soccer Association and a member of the Greenspace Committee for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Vision 2030. He tries to instill a sense of adventure and commitment in his three boys. He spends all of his free time with them, whether he’s watching them play sports, fishing with them, or simply enjoying their company at home.
