When we find the perfect location to bring a vision to reality, J.B. helps bring it to life behind the scenes. And it’s not just the best part of his job — it’s in his blood. As a kid, J.B. remembers looking at a piece of land while his father, John McKibbon, described everything it could become. Where J.B. saw dirt, his father saw a place where people would one day live, work and play. Although the business bears his name, J.B. developed his resume in hospitality at many different companies, working his way up from laundry services. Before joining the family business in 2017, J.B. worked at Apple REIT from 2011 to 2016 where he grew from asset manager intern to analyst to senior asset manager. Carrying on the family legacy, J.B. joined McKibbon Hospitality in 2017 as Asset Manager and now serves as President of McKibbon Equities, a newly developed arm of the company responsible for development and management of McKibbon-owned assets as well as the McKibbon Family Investment Fund. He has a passion for the outdoors, mountains, and a wanderlust that would take him all around the world if he had the time. All he needs is his family, a good cup of coffee, a pair of walking shoes, and an open mind. The rest is an adventure.
