A successful soccer team is like a well-oiled machine. Every individual has their own unique strengths and weaknesses and their own role to play. When everyone is working together, everything just clicks: you anticipate where your teammate is without having to look and the game feels effortless, almost like magic.
That’s what a winning hospitality team should feel like according to Phil, a London native and rabid football (a.k.a. soccer) fan. Over his 25-year career in the culinary and hospitality industry, he’s worked for some of the most prestigious hotels in Europe and been part of countless high-performance teams.
As our Corporate Food & Beverage Director for our portfolio’s lifestyle brands, Phil’s goal is to “coach” his team toward the right goals and some winning seasons. His game plan is simple: prioritize the right things, inspire those around you, and never ever stop learning.
Outside of the office, Phil loves spending time with his family, watching football with his dad and mentor, and no day is complete without talking or Skype-ing his kids and grandkids. His extensive music library is his favorite travel companion and London is and always will be his favorite city in the world. He’s passionate about giving back to A Kid’s Place.
He believes what makes McKibbon a team worth playing for is that every individual shares a genuine concern for everyone around them. No matter what city or hotel a team member is in, everyone is working toward the same goal.
