Erik Rowen, AIA

President, Development & Renovation Services

The three strongest traits that any leader should have are honesty, integrity and loyalty.

For Erik, every day is a new opportunity to create value. Whether it is to overcome challenges on a project under construction, or engaging in a new design innovation to satisfy the needs of our guests, things never get dull. But not even his Fitbit can track just how far he’s come since joining the McKibbon family as a project manager. Over the course of his career, he’s helped cultivate one of the best teams in the industry, and supported the successful development of over 30 projects (and counting), several of them award-winning.

The registered architect knows that the key to a successful project is to engage the right team from the start, embrace the changing industry, and always be thinking about value creation for his stakeholders. With every new-build hotel project this team leads, their ultimate goal is achieving that “wow factor” that every guest, business partner and investor are looking for.

Erik earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University. He loves spending his free time with his family on Lake Lanier boating and relaxing.
