Emma Ledbetter joined the McKibbon team in 2006 as a front desk attendant and cook. After participating in our Manager in Training program, she quickly rose through the ranks, holding a variety of operations and food & beverage leadership positions on property before joining our corporate team as food & beverage manager in 2018.

An extremely passionate, intuitive, and well-rounded hospitality professional, Emma recently transitioned to her dream role as Director of Training and Talent Development, where she leads training and onboarding initiatives for all McKibbon associates. Nothing makes Emma happier than teaching, mentoring, and cultivating new leaders while helping them grow in their respective hospitality careers. And who better to orient our new McKibbon family members and celebrate our McKibbon culture than someone who embodies hospitality and the McKibbon spirit to serve others.

Off the clock, you can find Emma traveling and paving new paths, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with her two rescue pups, Butters and Ladybug. A passionate volunteer and supporter of non-profits and community organizations, Emma’s love for dogs and a fated encounter with an executive at an Asheville animal rescue led to the creation of our nationally recognized Aloft Foster Dog Program, which connects hundreds of dogs in need with loving families each year. In 2016, she received Starwood Hotels’ prestigious Starwood Cares for the Community Individual Award recognizing her outstanding volunteer efforts and leadership in encouraging other hotel associates to take positive action to help strengthen the Asheville community.
