Residence Inn Fort Myers Undergoes Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

(FORT MYERS, FL– 05/27/10) The Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Myers, located at 2960 Colonial Blvd., has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation.  The three-month project was overseen by McKibbon Hotel Group’s MHGConstruction Management Services, LLC and changes reflect a major shift in the hotel’s overall environment and atmosphere.
 
Guest rooms in the Fort Myers hotel have been completely transformed and updated to include granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.  New furniture, window treatments and floor coverings complete each room’s modern new look.
 
The hotel’s exterior public space, known as the Outdoor Experience, has also been completely refreshed, including replacement of all pool and patio furniture.  Visitors can kick back and enjoy the temperate Florida weather beside a new outdoor fire pit with comfortable lounge chairs, or feel at-home cooking in the outdoor kitchen area. 
 
Inside, the public Lodge area has been transformed, as well.  The new breakfast area has been updated and expanded to improve the overall user experience.  Guests can catch up on the news from the 50” LCD HDTV located nearby, or take advantage of free wireless Internet access provided throughout the hotel.
 
The Residence Inn Fort Myers is pet-friendly, and is centrally located near Interstate 75, downtown and the beaches.  The property is managed by McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. of Tampa, Florida, and led by General Manager Margarita Lamboy.
