Community Involvement

Community service is at the heart of McKibbon. Through the care and commitment of our hotel teams, we give back to our communities where we live and work. Many organizations are supported, particularly those who assist with providing food and shelter to those less fortunate.
 
Through McKibbon’s Matching Funds Program, monies raised through hotel fundraising events are matched by the corporate foundation, dollar for dollar. Over the past five years, nearly $1 million dollars have been raised for organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and other community non-profit agencies that provide much needed assistance in our communities.
 
Associates and their family members are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities throughout the year. One of our largest volunteer events annually is in the Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent, where food items and gifts for children are distributed to needy families in the Tampa Bay area for the Christmas holiday season.
